Kamat Group to grow internationally as the tourism industry recovers

With the international tourism sector gradually recovering, the efforts of the Kamat Group to relaunch overseas restaurants have begun. Countries like Vietnam and Sri Lanka in South East Asia have opened their doors to tourists and slowly it is starting in other parts of the world as well. The Kamat Group, which runs popular vegetarian restaurants in the country, will soon reopen their restaurants in Singapore, Phuket, and Pattaya in Thailand. Kamat Group Chairman Dr. Vikram Kamat told a newspaper in a recent interview.

During the interview, Dr. Vikram also mentioned that "Our struggle is always going on to make Indian food popular in the world and as soon as the situation improves, we aim to open new restaurants in Europe and elsewhere, not only abroad but also in tourist important cities like Pandharpur, Shirdi, restaurants that were closed during the corona period are now opening."

He further added saying "Kamat Group is now making its debut in other sectors by opening 27 four-star hotels of the Vits brand and has also started a special training academy in Kalyan. The Kamat Group has received patents for two new kitchen appliances used in food preparation. They are aiming to open 10 more restaurants and 10 VITS Hotels this year. The 100-room VITS Hotel is primarily open for weddings, functions, and events in tier-II and tier-III cities. A special feature of all Kamat hotels is the extremely clean toilets. As people today are more health conscious, we are keen to provide fresh and healthy food with less oil."
