The company reported standalone net profit of Rs 171.73 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2022 as compared to Rs 136.51 crore in the same period last year, registering a year-on-year growth of 25.80 per cent. Net revenue of the company rose moderately by 13.29 per cent at Rs 1,497.64 crore in January-March quarter of this fiscal as against Rs 1,321.99 crore in the corresponding period last year.
During January-March quarter, operating expenses increased by 15.87 per cent to Rs 1,221.41 crore from Rs 1,054.11 crore in year ago period. Other Income dipped by 35.43 per cent at Rs 17.64 crore versus (Mar'21 Rs 27.32 crore). Operating Profit surged by 3.12 per cent to Rs 276.23 crore as against Rs 267.88 crore in the year ago period, while Operating Profit Margin (OPM) contracted year-on-year to 8.98 per cent in March quarter. Interest declined by 26.99 per cent y-o-y to Rs 21.86 crore, while Taxation decreased by 47.62 per cent at Rs 26.20 crore (Mar'21 Rs 50.02 crore).
