Summary

* Indian markets closed on a positive note where selling was mainly seen in Media, Banking, Metal sectors. Nifty Jul Future closed at 19770.55 (up 49.35 points) at a premium of 21.30 pts to spot.

* FIIs were net buyers in Cash to the tune 2115.84 Cr and were net buyers in index futures to the tune of 500.62 Cr.

* India VIX increased by 3.49% to close at 11.71 touching an intraday high of 12.02

* The above second chart shows previous trading day’s change in Nifty options where Addition in OI were seen at 20000, 19900, 19800, 19700 strike Puts and at 20000, 19900, 19800 strike Calls indicating that the market is likely to be positive in the near term.

* Highest OI build-up is seen at 20000 strike Calls and 19000 strike Puts, to the tune of 17.59mn and 17.18mn respectively.

Outlook on Nifty:

Index is likely to open on a flat note today and is likely to remain positive during the day.
