Indian Hotels Company trades higher on signing new Taj resort in Bengaluru

The Indian Hotels Company is currently trading at Rs. 231.25, up by 2.30 points or 1.00% from its previous closing of Rs. 228.95 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 226.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 231.65 and Rs. 225.00 respectively. So far 65788 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 1 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 268.85 on 04-May-2022 and a 52 week low of Rs. 128.99 on 23-Aug-2021.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 231.40 and Rs. 214.20 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 32505.84 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 38.19%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 44.67% and 17.14% respectively.

Indian Hotels Company (IHCL) has signed a new Taj resort in Bengaluru. This development project, under management contract with Sattva Homes from the Sattva Group, will also feature branded villas as part of the complex in the second phase. With the addition of this hotel, IHCL will have a total of 13 hotels with around 3,000 rooms in Bengaluru, including five under development.

The resort, spread over 45 acres, is located at Rajanukunte in North Bengaluru, within driving distance from both the city centre as well as the airport. The greenfield project will have 254 keys and 50 Taj branded villas. It will feature multiple restaurants and bars and a selection of adaptable meeting spaces with outdoor areas, ideal for hosting both business and social events, making it the perfect getaway from the city. Guests will also be able to enjoy recreational facilities such as a pool, fitness center and the award-winning Jiva spa.
