Both the cars have enjoyed exclusive popularity in the market and are also common for being one of the most favourite compact sedans of car buyers. Let us take a look at what are the common features and also the difference between these two rivals racing the roads.

Features of the new model

The new-gen Honda City is bigger than its previous model. Mileage of this exclusive mid-range sedan ranges from 17.8 to 24.1 km per litre. The new-gen model has also received some new exclusive additions in its spacious cabin. Seats, steering wheel and dash panel have been redesigned with leatherette inserts. Not only does the spacious cabin allow you to rest your leg and head comfortably but also gives you plenty of space for storage. The 8-inch touchscreen display with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto is placed between the newly designed vertical air-con vents.

Hyundai Verna’s exclusivity lies in its newly added features like a smart trunk with a smart key for enabling better luggage carrying capacity, an emergency stop signal for preventing collisions, rear AC vents, wireless phone charger, digital cluster with 10.67 cm colour TFT MID and 20.32 cm touchscreen AVNT with HD display. Things to watch out

Both Honda City and Hyundai Verna are exclusive sedans but there are some factors which you must surely keep in mind before making a purchase.

The first-generation Honda City had a sporty nature which seems to be missing in this new body. Moreover, variations in the vibrant colours of the car are also limited. Lastly, Honda has discontinued the spirited 1-litre turbo petrol in our country. On the other hand, the Hyundai Verna also has some downsides like a sluggish engine of 1.4 litres and a cramped headroom in its rear.

Price and Review

The all-new 7th generation Honda City has undergone a drastic transformation as its manufactures have added new flesh to the old skeleton. There are many new added features in the spacious cabin of the car. Price for this revamped model varies from Rs. 10.89 Lakh to Rs. 14.64 Lakh with the on-road price of its top variant being listed as Rs. 17.11 Lakh.

Honda City’s tough competitor, i.e., Hyundai Verna has also brought about some modifications and variations to its flagship car to make it more advance and up to date. Thus, it would suit the likes of the millennial people. Price of this exclusive sedan ranges between Rs. 9.03 Lakh to Rs. 15.18 Lakh. The on-road price of its top variant is similar to Honda City as it is priced at Rs. 17.74 Lakh. Honda City is available in 7 variants whereas, Hyundai Verna is available in 12 variants.

Although, these two are one of the most popular talks of the town, yet there are some rival cars which are doing very well in the market. Skoda Rapid, Volkswagen Vento and Maruti Suzuki Ciaz are also similar models with almost similar features. Therefore, if you prefer compact sedans then before buying you must take a careful inspection of all these above sedans to make a fruitful purchase.
