Hero MotoCorp Q4 net profit up 39.35% at Rs 864.97 cr

The company reported standalone net profit of Rs 864.97 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2021 as compared to Rs 620.71 crore in the same period last year, registering a year-on-year growth of 39.35 per cent. Net revenue of the company rose substantially by 39.23 per cent at Rs 8,685.97 crore in January-March quarter of this fiscal as against Rs 6,238.39 crore in the corresponding period last year.
During January-March quarter, operating expenses increased by 33.99 per cent to Rs 7,474.82 crore from Rs 5,578.51 crore in year ago period. Other Income dipped by 48.44 per cent at Rs 87.38 crore versus (Mar'20 Rs 169.47 crore).
Operating Profit surged by 83.54 per cent to Rs 1,211.15 crore as against Rs 659.88 crore in the year ago period, while Operating Profit Margin (OPM) expanded year-on-year to 31.76 per cent in March quarter. Interest grew by 54.93 per cent y-o-y to Rs 6.29 crore, while Taxation increased by 784.04 per cent at Rs 264.15 crore (Mar'20 Rs 29.88 crore).
