HT Media posts Q4 net loss of Rs 15.82 cr

The company reported standalone net loss during the quarter stood at Rs 15.82 crore compared to net profit of Rs 31.18 crore in the previous year quarter. Net revenue of the company rose moderately by 18.49 per cent at Rs 202.54 crore in January-March quarter of this fiscal as against Rs 170.93 crore in the corresponding period last year. During January-March quarter, operating expenses increased by 22.73 per cent to Rs 201.05 crore from Rs 163.82 crore in year ago period. Other Income grew by 20.59 per cent at Rs 40.30 crore versus (Mar'21 Rs 33.42 crore). Operating Profit slipped by 79.04 per cent to Rs 1.49 crore as against Rs 7.11 crore in the year ago period, while Operating Profit Margin (OPM) contracted year-on-year to 82.21 per cent in March quarter. Interest grew by 9.95 per cent y-o-y to Rs 11.38 crore, while Taxation increased by 214.98 per cent at Rs -7.78 crore (Mar'21 Rs -2.47 crore).
