HDFC Bank rises on signing agreement for investment in IDRCL

HDFC Bank is currently trading at Rs. 1440.35, up by 7.45 points or 0.52% from its previous closing of Rs. 1432.90 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 1440.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 1444.50 and Rs. 1430.00 respectively. So far 56010 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 1 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 1724.30 on 18-Oct-2021 and a 52 week low of Rs. 1292.00 on 08-Mar-2022.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 1517.80 and Rs. 1401.60 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 797736.86 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 25.80%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 60.60% and 13.60% respectively.

HDFC Bank has signed an agreement on March 28, 2022 for investment in India Debt Resolution Company (IDRCL) by way of subscription to equity securities. IDRCL has been incorporated with the objective to carry on the business as a debt management company and to do all kinds of debt management, operational management and consultancy services in relation to debt resolution for an asset reconstruction company or investment trust or any other portfolio of securities.

Equity investment will be done in tranches and the first tranche of equity investment of Rs 3 crore is expected to be completed by March 31, 2022. Subsequent tranches of equity investment will be made as and when determined by the Board of Directors of IDRCL. Total cash consideration of Rs 7.50 crore in tranches, to acquire upto 15% equity holding in IDRCL.
