HDFC Bank falls despite reporting 24% rise in Q4 consolidated net profit

The bank has reported a rise of 22.83% in its net profit at Rs 10,055.18 crore for the quarter under review as compared to Rs 8,186.51 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income of the bank increased by 8.07% at Rs 41,085.78 crore for Q4FY22 as compared Rs 38,017.50 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year.
On the consolidated basis, the bank has reported a rise of 24.05% in its net profit at Rs 10,474.89 crore for the quarter under review as compared to Rs 8,444.33 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income of the bank increased by 7.46% at Rs 43,960.45 crore for Q4FY22 as compared Rs 40,909.49 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year.
For the year ended March 31, 2022, the bank has reported a rise of 18.78% in its net profit at Rs 36,961.33 crore as compared to Rs 31,116.53 crore for the previous year. Total income of the bank increased by 7.67% at Rs 157,263.01 crore for year under review as compared to Rs 146,063.12 crore for year ended March 31, 2021.
For the year ended March 31, 2022, on the consolidated basis, the bank has reported a rise of 19.76% in its net profit at Rs 38,150.90 crore as compared to Rs 31,856.77 crore for the previous year. Total income of the bank increased by 7.58% at Rs 167,695.40 crore for year under review as compared to Rs 155,885.28 crore for year ended March 31, 2021.
