The company reported standalone net profit of Rs 308.91 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2021 as compared to Rs 238.77 crore in the same period last year, registering a year-on-year growth of 29.38 per cent. Net revenue of the company rose substantially by 29.09 per cent at Rs 1,733.03 crore in January-March quarter of this fiscal as against Rs 1,342.47 crore in the corresponding period last year.
During January-March quarter, operating expenses increased by 7.02 per cent to Rs 1,262.62 crore from Rs 1,179.80 crore in year ago period. Other Income grew by 16.29 per cent at Rs 49.18 crore versus (Mar'20 Rs 42.29 crore).
Operating Profit surged by 189.18 per cent to Rs 470.41 crore as against Rs 162.67 crore in the year ago period, while Operating Profit Margin (OPM) expanded year-on-year to 123.93 per cent in March quarter. Interest declined by 40.37 per cent y-o-y to Rs 1.30 crore, while Taxation increased by 237.81 per cent at Rs 140.90 crore (Mar'20 Rs -102.24 crore).
