Gujarat Gas Q4 net profit jumps 42.33% at Rs 349.93 cr

The company reported standalone net profit of Rs 349.93 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2021 as compared to Rs 245.85 crore in the same period last year, registering a year-on-year growth of 42.33 per cent. Net revenue of the company rose substantially by 28.59 per cent at Rs 3,428.92 crore in January-March quarter of this fiscal as against Rs 2,666.63 crore in the corresponding period last year.
During January-March quarter, operating expenses increased by 28.34 per cent to Rs 2,874.67 crore from Rs 2,239.97 crore in year ago period. Other Income dipped by 0.42 per cent at Rs 18.80 crore versus (Mar'20 Rs 18.88 crore).
Operating Profit surged by 29.90 per cent to Rs 554.25 crore as against Rs 426.66 crore in the year ago period, while Operating Profit Margin (OPM) expanded year-on-year to 1.00 per cent in March quarter. Interest declined by 57.10 per cent y-o-y to Rs 18.02 crore, while Taxation increased by 53.21 per cent at Rs 118.28 crore (Mar'20 Rs 77.20 crore).
