Gammon India posts Q4 net loss of Rs 553.74 cr

The company reported standalone net loss during the quarter stood at Rs 553.74 crore as compared to net loss of Rs 230.71 crore in the previous year quarter. Net revenue of the company declined substantially by 90.30 per cent at Rs 1.81 crore in January-March quarter of this fiscal as against Rs 18.66 crore in the corresponding period last year.
During January-March quarter, operating expenses increased by 613.30 per cent to Rs 246.23 crore from Rs 34.52 crore in year ago period. Other Income dipped by 10.06 per cent at Rs 8.58 crore versus (Mar'21 Rs 9.54 crore). Operating Profit surged by 1441.11 per cent to Rs -244.42 crore as against Rs -15.86 crore in the year ago period, while Operating Profit Margin (OPM) contracted year-on-year to 15788.78 per cent in March quarter. Interest grew by 45.64 per cent y-o-y to Rs 187.83 crore, while Taxation decreased by 36.21 per cent at Rs -1.48 crore (Mar'21 Rs -2.32 crore).
