GMDC trades in green on the BSE

Gujarat Mineral Development Corporation is currently trading at Rs. 172.70, up by 0.30 points or 0.17% from its previous closing of Rs. 172.40 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 170.30 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 175.15 and Rs. 169.25 respectively. So far 184591 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 2 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 228.50 on 07-Apr-2022 and a 52 week low of Rs. 59.10 on 23-Aug-2021.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 184.60 and Rs. 169.25 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 5482.32 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 74.00%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 5.77% and 20.23% respectively.

Gujarat Mineral Development Corporation (GMDC) is aiming to partner with technology consultants for the dry beneficiation technology pyrite/ sulphur removal plant. GMDC, a Government of Gujarat Enterprise, has been a pioneer in mining for more than six decades, catering to the needs of the minerals and solid fuel for the industries based in and outside Gujarat. GMDC mining activities are spread over the State's Kutch, Devbhoomi Dwarka, Bhavnagar, Bharuch, Panchmahal, and Banaskantha districts.

It is currently dealing in minerals like Lignite, Bauxite, Fluorspar, Manganese, Ball Clay, Silica Sand, Bentonitic Clay and Limestone. The GMDC has also set up a 250 MW lignite-based Thermal Power Station at Nani Chher in Kutch, a Wind power plant of 200.9 MW at Maliya, Jodiya, Godsar, Bhanvad and a Solar Power plant of 5 MW at Panandhro Project. As a part of forward integration, GMDC is keenly interested in removing this pyrite from lignite to supply clean fuel to the customers. The company will also commission a pyrite removal plant at Bhavnagar using the best & latest dry beneficiation technology.
