FIIs stood as net sellers in equities as per August 22 data: NSDL

The FIIs as per Tuesday's data were net sellers in equity segment, while they were net buyers in debt segment, according to data released by the NSDL.
In equity segment, the gross buying was of Rs 8157.93 crore against gross selling of Rs 9435.15 crore. Thus, FIIs stood as net sellers of Rs 1277.22 crore in equities.
In the debt segment, the gross purchase was of Rs 2970.94 crore with gross sales of Rs 743.72 crore. Thus, FIIs stood as net buyers of Rs 2227.22 crore in debt.
In the hybrid segment, the gross buying was of Rs 17.51 crore against gross selling of Rs 28.03 crore. Thus, FIIs stood as net sellers of Rs 10.52 crore in hybrid segment.
