The company reported standalone net profit of Rs 114.73 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2022 as compared to Rs 139.11 crore in the same period last year, registering a year-on-year decline of 17.53 per cent. Net revenue of the company declined marginally by 2.78 per cent at Rs 1,554.42 crore in January-March quarter of this fiscal as against Rs 1,598.85 crore in the corresponding period last year.
During January-March quarter, operating expenses dropped by 0.33 per cent to Rs 1,357.60 crore from Rs 1,362.11 crore in year ago period. Other Income grew by 261.05 per cent at Rs 9.64 crore versus (Mar'21 Rs 2.67 crore). Operating Profit slipped by 16.86 per cent to Rs 196.82 crore as against Rs 236.74 crore in the year ago period, while Operating Profit Margin (OPM) contracted year-on-year to 14.52 per cent in March quarter. Interest grew by 20.59 per cent y-o-y to Rs 0.41 crore, while Taxation decreased by 20.43 per cent at Rs 39.46 crore (Mar'21 Rs 49.59 crore).
