Eicher Motors gains as its motorcycle division reports 43% rise in May sales

Eicher Motors is currently trading at Rs. 2682.05, up by 16.45 points or 0.62% from its previous closing of Rs. 2665.60 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 2656.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 2693.45 and Rs. 2640.05 respectively. So far 10234 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 1 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 3035.50 on 22-Jan-2021 and a 52 week low of Rs. 1545.10 on 12-Jun-2020.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 2709.20 and Rs. 2590.00 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 73411.63 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 49.23%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 38.29% and 12.49% respectively.

Eicher Motors’ motorcycle division has reported 43% rise in sales at 27,294 units in May 2021 as compared to 19,113 motorcycles sold in May 2020. During May 2021, export of motorcycles increased to 7,221 units from 684 units in May 2020.   

The company’s sales of models with engine capacity up to 350 cc increased by 30% at 22,734 units in May 2021 against 17,543 units in the same period year ago. The sales of its Models with engine capacity exceeding 350 cc also rose by 190% at 4,560 units in May 2021 as against 1,570 units in May last year.
