Coal India shines on the bourses

Coal India is currently trading at Rs. 133.00, up by 5.00 points or 3.91% from its previous closing of Rs. 128.00 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 127.80 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 134.60 and Rs. 127.05 respectively. So far 1069428 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 162.95 on 26-Feb-2021 and a 52 week low of Rs. 109.50 on 15-Oct-2020.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 134.60 and Rs. 126.70 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 82272.42 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 66.13%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 28.35% and 5.45% respectively.

Coal India’s (CIL) three subsidiaries are considering installing oxygen generation plants to tide over the shortage of the life saving gas, as country is facing oxygen shortage. It is on high alert to guard its employees by ramping up the medical infrastructure and availability of oxygen cylinders across its subsidiaries to combat the rise of COVID-19. CIL's coal companies have also tied up with local hospitals and state governments funding and facilitating beds to step up Covid relief measures. Availability of beds in local peripheral areas is also being increased.

Coal India is the world’s largest coal mining company. It also produces non-coking coal and coking coal of various grades for diverse applications.
