Coal India jumps on reporting around 3-fold jump in Q1 consolidated net profit
Coal India is currently trading at Rs. 221.50, up by 2.90 points or 1.33% from its previous closing of Rs. 218.60 on the BSE.
The scrip opened at Rs. 218.60 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 222.20 and Rs. 217.70 respectively. So far 522919 shares were traded on the counter.
The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 226.10 on 11-Aug-2022 and a 52 week low of Rs. 132.80 on 23-Aug-2021.

Coal India has reported net profit of Rs 160.98 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2022 as compared to net loss of Rs 49.82 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income of the company increased by 2-fold at Rs 357.23 crore for Q1FY23 as compared Rs 171.96 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year.
On the consolidated basis, the company has reported around 3-fold jump in its net profit at Rs 8,834.22 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2022 as compared to Rs 3,174.15 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income of the company increased by 38.99% at Rs 36,086.68 crore for Q1FY23 as compared Rs 25,963.13 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year.
