Coal India inches up on inking pact with CRIS for sharing of coal freight data
Coal India is currently trading at Rs. 137.00, up by 0.85 points or 0.62% from its previous closing of Rs. 136.15 on the BSE.
The scrip opened at Rs. 137.45 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 138.45 and Rs. 136.25 respectively. So far 82349 shares were traded on the counter.
The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 180.40 on 05-Mar-2020 and a 52 week low of Rs. 109.50 on 15-Oct-2020.
Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 143.20 and Rs. 133.00 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 83905.55 crore.
The promoters holding in the company stood at 66.13%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 28.73% and 5.14% respectively.
Coal India has signed a pact with the Centre for Railway Information Systems (CRIS), a wing under the railways ministry, for monitoring the movement of rakes laden with fossil fuel and coal despatch activity. The first-of-its-kind data sharing offers Coal India a bouquet of benefits that help it in rationalising the entire coal supply matrix through rail mode, according to the company. It will provide precise details of loading, weighment and unloading along with turnaround time of rakes.
