Coal India gains as its production rises 4.1% to 53.8 MT in November

Coal India is currently trading at Rs. 156.35, up by 0.55 points or 0.35% from its previous closing of Rs. 155.80 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 156.25 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 157.35 and Rs. 155.40 respectively. So far 380202 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 203.85 on 06-Oct-2021 and a 52 week low of Rs. 123.45 on 19-Apr-2021.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 159.85 and Rs. 151.45 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 96539.14 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 66.13%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 28.82% and 5.04% respectively.

Coal India’s (CIL) coal production has increased by 4.1% to 53.8 million tonnes (MT) in November, 2021 as against 51.7 MT in November 2020. The company’s production in the April- November 2021 period increased 5.6 per cent to 353.4 MT, compared with 334.5 MT in the year-ago period.

The company's offtake also increased by 10.8% to 56.8 MT in November, 2021, over 51.3 MT in the corresponding month of the previous financial year. Its offtake in the April- November 2021 period also increased by 17.9% to 421.1 MT over 357.1 MT in the year-ago period.

Coal India is the world’s largest coal mining company. It also produces non-coking coal and coking coal of various grades for diverse applications.
