CEAT trades in red on reporting 83% fall in Q4 consolidated net profit

Ceat is currently trading at Rs. 1053.05, down by 37.20 points or 3.41% from its previous closing of Rs. 1090.25 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 1063.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 1063.00 and Rs. 1027.50 respectively. So far 5457 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 1477.20 on 16-Jul-2021 and a 52 week low of Rs. 920.55 on 30-Mar-2022.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 1137.55 and Rs. 1027.50 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 4224.61 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 47.11%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 34.34% and 18.55% respectively.

CEAT has reported results for fourth quarter and year ended March 31, 2022.

The company has reported a fall of 90.63% in its net profit at Rs 13.29 crore for the quarter under review as compared to Rs 141.84 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. However, total income of the company increased by 13.10% at Rs 2,581 crore for Q4FY22 as compared Rs 2,282.15 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year.

On the consolidated basis, the company has reported a fall of 83.38% in its net profit at Rs 25.43 crore for the quarter under review as compared to Rs 153.02 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. However, total income of the company increased by 13.19% at Rs 2,595.28 crore for Q4FY22 as compared Rs 2,292.89 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year.

For the year ended March 31, 2022, the company has reported a fall of 86.87% in its net profit at Rs 54.33 crore as compared to Rs 413.64 crore for the previous year. However, total income of the company increased by 22.83% at Rs 9,340.82 crore for year under review as compared to Rs 7,604.59 crore for year ended March 31, 2021.

For the year ended March 31, 2022, on the consolidated basis, the company has reported a fall of 83.67% in its net profit at Rs 70.58 crore as compared to Rs 432.30 crore for the previous year. However, total income of the company increased by 22.97% at Rs 9,374.81 crore for year under review as compared to Rs 7,623.41 crore for year ended March 31, 2021.
