CEAT inches up on opening all- women operated customer service centre in Punjab
Ceat is currently trading at Rs. 1542.15, up by 1.30 points or 0.08% from its previous closing of Rs. 1540.85 on the BSE.
The scrip opened at Rs. 1550.85 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 1593.00 and Rs. 1518.65 respectively. So far 10685 shares were traded on the counter.
The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 1763.15 on 04-Feb-2021 and a 52 week low of Rs. 601.50 on 24-Mar-2020.
Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 1650.00 and Rs. 1518.65 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 6229.31 crore.
The promoters holding in the company stood at 46.82%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 39.29% and 13.88% respectively.
CEAT has opened all-women operated customer service centre Shoppes at Bhatinda in Punjab and it plans to set up such outlets pan-India in the next few months. The all-women CEAT Shoppes include a women workforce for all service-related assistance to customers. This also includes manual jobs like wheel changing, balancing and operating various machinery to service a vehicle. CEAT had earlier this month said that these service outlets will work as full-fledged customer service centres. At the time of the global crisis due to the pandemic, many people have lost their jobs but with this initiative.
CEAT is among the best tyre manufacturers in India. It manufactures a wide range of tyres for two-wheelers, three-wheelers, four-wheelers, tractors and tippers and trucks. Besides tyres, the company also manufactures and markets tubes and flaps.
