Bharat Electronics zoom on inking contract of Rs 1075 crore with Ministry of Defence
Bharat Electronics is currently trading at Rs. 197.60, up by 9.85 points or 5.25% from its previous closing of Rs. 187.75 on the BSE.
The scrip opened at Rs. 194.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 198.60 and Rs. 192.10 respectively. So far 142915 shares were traded on the counter.
The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 1 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 227.95 on 12-Nov-2021 and a 52 week low of Rs. 115.90 on 25-Mar-2021.
Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 201.80 and Rs. 186.90 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 48159.26 crore.
The promoters holding in the company stood at 51.14%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 43.98% and 4.89% respectively.
Bharat Electronics (BEL) has inked contract for Rs 1075 crore with Acquisition Wing of the Ministry of Defence for the retro-modification of Commander Sight of Battle Tanks-T-90. The retro-modification will be carried out in 957 T-90 tanks of the Indian Army.
Commander Sight of Battle Tank T-90, India’s premier battle tank, is presently fitted with Image Converter (IC) tube-based sight for night viewing. Based on the requirement projected by the Indian Army, DRDO (Defence Research and Development Organisation) and BEL have jointly designed and developed an advanced Mid Wave Thermal Image (MWIR) based sight as a replacement for the existing IC-based sight.
