Bannari Amman Sugar Q4 net profit down 30.26% at Rs 21.85 cr
The company reported standalone net profit of Rs 21.85 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2021 as compared to Rs 31.33 crore in the same period last year, registering a year-on-year decline of 30.26 per cent. Net revenue of the company declined substantially by 22.27 per cent at Rs 371.89 crore in January-March quarter of this fiscal as against Rs 478.42 crore in the corresponding period last year.
During January-March quarter, operating expenses dropped by 20.63 per cent to Rs 326.50 crore from Rs 411.34 crore in year ago period. Other Income grew by 97.84 per cent at Rs 2.75 crore versus (Mar'20 Rs 1.39 crore).
Operating Profit slipped by 32.34 per cent to Rs 45.39 crore as against Rs 67.09 crore in the year ago period, while Operating Profit Margin (OPM) contracted year-on-year to 12.98 per cent in March quarter. Interest declined by 11.35 per cent y-o-y to Rs 8.83 crore, while Taxation decreased by 90.33 per cent at Rs 1.03 crore (Mar'20 Rs 10.65 crore).
