HIGHLIGHTS:

Nifty futures closed at 17084 on a negative note with 4.85% increase in the open interest indicating Short Build Up. Nifty Futures closed at a premium of 15 points compared to the previous day premium of 33 points. BankNifty closed at 36208 on positive note with 1.29% decrease in open interest indicating Short Covering. BankNifty Futures closed at a premium of 45 points compared to the previous day premium of 56 points.

FII's were Sellers in Index Futures to the tune of 790 crores and were Sellers in Index Options to the tune of 7327 crores, Buyers in the Stock Futures to the tune of 849 crores. Net Sellers in the derivative segment to the tune of 7248 crores.

India VIX index is at 20.28 v/s 19.42. Nifty ATM call option IV is currently 15.19 whereas Nifty ATM Put option IV is quoting at 18.89
