Aviation Sector Update - Daily flier dip sharply to 193K By ICICI Securities

Weekly average daily fliers came in at 193k in the week ended (W.E) 17th Apr’21 vs 232k in the W.E. 10th Apr’21. For the W.E. 17th Apr’21, average number of departures declined sharply to 2,130 vis-à-vis 2,300 in the prior week. The number of fliers per departure declined to 90 from 101 in the respective weeks.
Daily fliers saw sharp dip in last three days of the week ended 17th Apr’21 as total traffic reported on 15th / 16th / 17th Apr’21 stood at 176k / 175k / 182k respectively. Rising covid cases and increasing lockdown restriction from various states will remain an overhang on air traffic
