Average daily fliers dip to 168k
The number of weekly average daily fliers stood at 168k in the week ended (W.E) 22nd Jan’22 vs 192k in the W.E. 15th Jan’22. For W.E. 22nd Jan’22, the average number of daily departures declined to 1,787 from 2,101 in the previous week, and the number of fliers per departure increased to 94 from 91.
Dec’21 market share update: Indigo / AirAsia / Vistara witnessed MoM improvement of 50bps / 40bps / 20bps to 54.8% / 6.30% / 7.7%, while Air India / GO Air market share dipped 70bps / 30bps to 9.9% / 10.7%.
PLF trends: Air India, Indigo and Air Asia witnessed a sequential dip in PLF, while Go Air and Vistara witnessed an improvement.
Sector update: DGCA extended the suspension of scheduled international passenger flights up to 28th Feb’22.
