Average daily flier dips further to 49K

Weekly average daily fliers came in at 49k in the week ended (W.E) 23rd May’21 vs 60k in the W.E. 16th May’21. For the W.E. 23rd May’21, average number of departures declined sharply to 790 vis-à-vis 948 in the prior week. The number of fliers per departure declined to 62 from 64 in the respective weeks (this implies a PLF close to 30%).

Average daily fliers dipped 19% WoW due to 16.7% drop in departures and 3% drop in the number of fliers per departure. Dip in traffic is largely attributable to travel restrictions in line with covid guidelines and higher number of covid cases.
