Ajanta Pharma Ltd Q4 net profit jumps 74.87% at Rs 154.78 cr

The company reported standalone net profit of Rs 154.78 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2021 as compared to Rs 88.51 crore in the same period last year, registering a year-on-year growth of 74.87 per cent. Net revenue of the company rose substantially by 33.42 per cent at Rs 748.07 crore in January-March quarter of this fiscal as against Rs 560.68 crore in the corresponding period last year.
During January-March quarter, operating expenses increased by 10.15 per cent to Rs 500.99 crore from Rs 454.83 crore in year ago period. Other Income dipped by 97.54 per cent at Rs 1.33 crore versus (Mar'20 Rs 54.10 crore).
Operating Profit surged by 133.42 per cent to Rs 247.08 crore as against Rs 105.85 crore in the year ago period, while Operating Profit Margin (OPM) expanded year-on-year to 74.95 per cent in March quarter. Interest declined by 25.60 per cent y-o-y to Rs 2.18 crore, while Taxation increased by 50.74 per cent at Rs 61.97 crore (Mar'20 Rs 41.11 crore).
