The company reported standalone net profit of Rs 55.75 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2020 as compared to Rs 42.25 crore in the same period last year, registering a year-on-year growth of 31.95 per cent. Net revenue of the company rose moderately by 12.45 per cent at Rs 1,738.16 crore in October-December quarter of this fiscal as against Rs 1,545.70 crore in the corresponding period last year.
During October-December quarter, operating expenses increased by 12.74 per cent to Rs 1,707.52 crore from Rs 1,514.59 crore in year ago period. Other Income grew by 77.97 per cent at Rs 12.12 crore versus (Dec'19 Rs 6.81 crore).
Operating Profit surged by 6.09 per cent to Rs 94.07 crore as against Rs 88.67 crore in the year ago period, while Operating Profit Margin (OPM) contracted year-on-year to 5.75 per cent in December quarter. Interest declined by 31.77 per cent y-o-y to Rs 13.83 crore, while Taxation increased by 38.52 per cent at Rs 19.06 crore (Dec'19 Rs 13.76 crore).
