A 34% reduction in shorts, followed by a 15.7% increase in longs, has meant that FIIs are now holding 74.6% of their index position as longs. This is in stark, contrast to the 58.82% levels seen last week. Among index options, they boosted their positions most along put shorts and the lowest along call longs. Along the broad Nifty weekly spectrum, the highest OI jump was seen at 15000 which were mostly shorts, while high long addition was seen at 14800 as well as 14200. Puts were largely short, with the highest such OI increase seen at 13000 and 14200, while max volume was at 13500.
