69th National School Games bring sporting spirit & boost in tourism in Kashmir valley

The sixty ninetieth (69th) national school games are in full swing to promote sports culture in the valley. Players from different parts of the country are enjoying this five days’ sports festival with a wonderful atmosphere and charming climate in the valley. This 69th National School games mega sports event was inaugurated by Jammu and Kashmir chief Omar Abdullah on sixth October at synthetic football turf Srinagar. These mega sports events will conclude tomorrow on the tenth of October and today a number of football matches are going on at different places including rugby ground, polo ground, Kashmir university (KU) and main venue synthetic football turf near tourist reception centre TRC. Guest’s players that are coming from different states of the country are enjoying this mega sports event due to the proper sports infrastructure and cultural hospitality of Kashmir. This five days’ mega sports event is organised by the directorate of youth services and sports Jammu and Kashmir under the aegis of school games federation of India. The purpose of this mega event is to promote sports activities especially football and provide a specific platform to energetic sports loving youths to show their hidden talent. During these mega five days’ event hundreds of players that are coming from different parts of the country will participate which results all the participants were looking very much excited as they are getting their first chance to play in Kashmir. So apart from football and other sports activities this event will also play a tremendous role to promote sports tourism in the valley
