``North East is gateway…``says Kiren Rijiju on region`s growing economic importance
Speaking at the Rising Northeast Investors Summit 2025, Union Minister Kiren Rijiju hailed North East region as “gateway to Southeast Asian countries”. He also underscored the growing development and economic importance of the region, stressing that “geographical isolation was an old concept” and that the region is at the “forefront of the development."
He also said that “North East has become a progressive and advanced region”.
