“More than 20,000 CAPFs…” New Delhi DCP briefs about security arrangements for AI Impact Summit
New Delhi DCP Devesh Kumar Mahla on Feb 16 briefed about the security arrangements for AI Impact Summit.
“...The Delhi Police has a standard operating protocol to ensure the safety of the security industry. We have been rehearsing and conducting point-by-point briefings for a long time, taking into account the schedule and unscheduled movements. We have held enough rehearsals, including multi-agency rehearsals, at potential locations. Keeping this in mind, we have more than 20,000 CAPFs and local police personnel here. We are also fully utilising technology. There are hundreds of additional CCTVs in New Delhi and at venues. We will use video analytics and FRS. Approximately 32 CCTV control rooms have been set up, where trained staff can monitor, identify, and transmit video analytics... Registered attendees of the AI Impact Summit have received the QR code via email... For entry, they will need to bring it along with an ID card...,” said Devesh Kumar Mahla. “On the 19th, there will be significant security restrictions in the area due to the main event... Everyone registered via email has received the MeitY advisory. Please review it as well... One must also see the traffic advisory carefully... Technology is a force enabler, which helps us in security... We will also use AI smart glasses enhanced technology this time. We have also used FRS video analytics in CCTV cameras... On 19th February, it will not be a big gathering. Since all the national leaders will be moving on 19th February, the rehearsal movements will be technical. We have already done them... There are also specific gates for people's entry. Otherwise, one can get into an unnecessary problem,” he added.
