Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said, "A draft bill was initially prepared in Uttarakhand. Subsequently, some modifications were made to it in Gujarat. We have formulated this bill keeping the specific conditions of Assam in mind. Once this bill receives the President's assent, it will become law here and come into force. If, during the implementation phase, it is felt that certain amendments are required, they will certainly be carried out... I do not anticipate any difficulties in implementing this legislation."
