The country’s biggest lender State Bank of India (SBI) has raised Rs 10,000 crore through 15-year infrastructure bonds at a coupon rate of 7.36 per cent that is payable annually. Federation of Automobile Dealers Association (FADA) has stated that the Indian Auto Retail sector achieved a modest 2.61% year-on-year (YoY) growth in May 2024. India's fiscal deficit for the financial year ended March 31 was lower than its full-year target of 5.8% of the gross domestic product due to a small cut in expenditure, government data showed on Friday. India's infrastructure output in December rose 3.8% year on year with growth in all sectors but crude oil, government data showed on Wednesday. Infrastructure output, which comprises eight sectors including coal and electricity, accounts for nearly 40% of industrial production. Electricity generation grew 0.6% in the month, coal production rose 10.6% and the steel sector expanded 5.9%, the figures showed.
