Union Minister of Coal and Mines, G. Kishan Reddy, on Monday launched the auction of 21 blocks of critical and strategic minerals as part of the fourth tranche.
Out of these 21 blocks, 11 are fresh blocks spanning six states, including Karnataka, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, and Arunachal Pradesh. The cost of representative, home-cooked vegetarian and non-vegetarian thali fell by 5 per cent and 7 per cent, respectively, in October compared to the same month of the previous year, according to the latest CRISIL report released on Monday.
The decline in thali cost, which reflects a dip in food inflation, was due to a significant 21 per cent and 38 per cent year-on-year decline in the prices of potato and tomato, respectively, during the month, the report stated.
