Zydus Lifesciences soars on getting final nod to manufacture Dasatinib Tablets

Zydus Lifesciences is currently trading at Rs. 909.60, up by 22.05 points or 2.48% from its previous closing of Rs. 887.55 on the BSE.
The scrip opened at Rs. 947.95 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 947.95 and Rs. 905.00 respectively. So far 96931 shares were traded on the counter.
The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 1 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 1323.90 on 09-Aug-2024 and a 52 week low of Rs. 859.15 on 04-Mar-2025.
Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 947.95 and Rs. 859.15 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 92090.53 crore.

Zydus Lifesciences has received final approval from the United States Food and Drug Administration (USFDA) to manufacture Dasatinib Tablets, 20 mg, 50 mg, 70 mg, 80 mg, 100 mg, and 140 mg. (USRLD: Sprycel Tablets, 20 mg, 50 mg, 70 mg, 80 mg, 100 mg, and 140 mg).
Dasatinib is indicated for the treatment of newly diagnosed adults with Philadelphia chromosome-positive (Ph+) chronic myeloid leukaemia (CML) in chronic phase. It is also used to treat adults with chronic, accelerated or myeloid or lymphoid blast phase Ph+ CML with resistance or intolerance to prior therapy including imatinib and adults with Philadelphia chromosome-positive acute lymphoblastic leukaemia (Ph+ ALL) with resistance or intolerance to prior therapy. Dasatinib tablets will be produced at Zydus Lifesciences (SEZ), Ahmedabad. Dasatinib tablets had annual sales of $1807.7 million in the United States (IQVIA MAT January 2025).
The group now has 415 approvals and has so far filed 483 ANDAs since the commencement of the filing process in FY 2003-04.
