Vodafone Idea moves up on inking pacts to acquire 26% stake in MTK Quantum Green Energy
Vodafone Idea is currently trading at Rs. 13.71, up by 0.13 points or 0.96% from its previous closing of Rs. 13.58 on the BSE.
The scrip opened at Rs. 13.66 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 13.87 and Rs. 13.61 respectively. So far 23414703 shares were traded on the counter.
The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 13.87 on 21-May-2026 and a 52 week low of Rs. 6.12 on 14-Aug-2025.
Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 13.87 and Rs. 9.37 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 148646.64 crore.
The promoters holding in the company stood at 25.64%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 60.77% and 13.59% respectively.
Vodafone Idea has entered into a Power Purchase Agreement and a Share Purchase Agreement on May 20, 2026, for acquisition of not less than 26% paid-up equity share capital of MTK Quantum Green Energy, a special purpose vehicle formed for the purpose of owning and operating the Captive Power Plant. The cost of acquisition shall be Rs 4.33 crore, to be completed in one or more tranches.
The objective of acquisition is to comply with regulatory requirement for captive power plants under the provisions of Electricity Act, 2003 and Indian Electricity Rules, 2005 and procurement of cost-effective renewable energy.
