1. Programs to reduce Maternal Mortality rate (MMR) and audit it is a great idea because MMR is an important index of our healthcare.

2. Adequate nutrition and prevention of anemia in pregnant women will go a long way in the well-being of the mother and child.

3. Deputing MCH speciality in Taluka hospital is an important measure to offer superspeciality care at Taluka level.

4. Adding critical care units across the state and in Bangalore is the need of the hour and the importance of this speciality became very obvious during the covid pandemic.

5. The brain health initiative along with NIMHANS is needed to tackle the acute need of addressing mental illness.

6. Addition of numerous hospitals at districts, talukas and new medical colleges is certainly a great boon in helping people access healthcare across the State.

7. The numerous Aarogya schemes to help the unprivileged is an important step in providing affordable healthcare.

8. Various Superspeciality Hospitals at Kalburgi, Gadag, Bangalore and setting up of new medical colleges is noteworthy.

9. It is noteworthy that under Shravan Sanjeevini Programme, for early diagnosis and treatment of hearing impairment among children, Rs. 12 crore will be provided for cochlear implant surgery and for the maintenance, repair and replacement of spare parts of cochlear implants.

10. Supporting the ASHA workers by increasing their honorarium is a very welcome move as they are the backbone of our primary care programs.
