UTI Asset Management Company (AMC) announces appointment of Director
UTI Mutual Fund has informed that the following changes have been made to the Board of Directors of UTI AMC with effect from July 31, 2026: Narayan Subramaniam Ayyapankav has been appointed as an Additional Director (Non-Executive Independent category) on the Board of UTI AMC. Accordingly, following details shall form part of the Statement of Additional Information (SAI) of UTI Mutual Fund.
Narayan Subramaniam Ayyapankav (66), is a qualified Chartered Accountant from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree from University of Mumbai and has completed an Advanced Management Program from Harvard Business School.
Narayan S A is a banking and financial services professional with over four decades of experience across treasury, commercial banking, capital markets, and securities services. His career was largely associated with the Kotak Group, where he had led and contributed to the growth of several key businesses.
He had also served as Managing Director & CEO of Kotak Securities, prior to which he was the Executive Director & COO, wherein he had a vital role in building the company into a leading retail broking franchise. Subsequently, as Group President – Commercial Banking and Group President – Treasury at Kotak Mahindra Bank, he had overseen various other businesses which ranges from SME lending, commercial vehicles, construction equipment, agri and tractor finance, microfinance, rural banking, treasury operations, asset liability management and investments.
Narayan also led the Group's Strategic Investment in the Multi Commodity Exchange of India and the acquisition of BSS Microfinance. Following his retirement, he continued as an Advisor to Kotak Mahindra Bank until May 2024, supporting the Bank's leadership on strategic initiatives.
Prior to joining UTI AMC, Narayan served as a Non-Executive Director at Infina Finance and as a Promoter and Director at Mauka Foundation.
This addendum is an integral part of the Statement of Additional Information (SAI) of UTI Mutual Fund. All other features, terms and conditions as mentioned in the SAI remain unchanged.
