Union Minister Piyush Goyal celebrated the festival of Gudi Padwa on April 09 in Mumbai. Gudi Padwa, the harvest festival, signals the start of the new year in Maharashtra. Gudi Padwa marks the first day of the Hindu calendar month of Chaitra.
Speaking about the occasion he said that this is the year of India’s destiny maker and this year India will enter a phase where it will again become ‘Vishwaguru’.
Union Minister Piyush Goyal said, “I got the opportunity to celebrate the festival with everyone. I extend my greetings to everyone on this (Hindu) New Year. This year is the year of India's destiny maker. This new year will make India enter a phase where it will again become ‘Vishwaguru’...”.
