Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh in Hanoi says India now commands global attention
Addressing the Indian community event at Hanoi in Vietnam, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh says, "In the past, whenever India spoke at international forums, its views were not accorded the level of seriousness they truly deserved. However, today, when India speaks at an international forum, the world listens with rapt attention; India has truly arrived on the global stage. This is the stature that India has now attained; furthermore, the Prime Minister of our country has been conferred with the highest civilian honours by 31 different nations. I can state with confidence that no other Prime Minister in the world has ever received the highest honours from such a large number of countries. That is precisely why I assert that India's standing in the world has risen, and PM Modi has emerged as the longest-serving Prime Minister to have dedicated himself to the service of India, and despite having spent such a long period in public life, I can affirm that there has been absolutely no diminution whatsoever in his public acceptance or his popularity..."
