UltraTech rises on becoming first cement company in India to surpass 2 GW of green energy capacity

The scrip opened at Rs. 10700.05 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 10908.00 and Rs. 10700.05 respectively. So far 1588 shares were traded on the counter.
The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 13104.00 on 10-Feb-2026 and a 52 week low of Rs. 10329.00 on 23-Mar-2026.
Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 11,160.00 and Rs. 10620.00 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 319336.45 crore.
The promoters holding in the company stood at 59.33%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 32.59% and 8.08% respectively.
UltraTech Cement has commissioned 116.55 megawatt (MW) of wind capacity at its Inter-State Transmission System (ISTS)-connected wind-solar hybrid project in Barmer, Rajasthan. It has also commissioned 10 MW of Waste Heat Recovery System (WHRS) capacity at Sarlanagar Cement Works, its integrated manufacturing unit in Karnataka. With this, UltraTech's cumulative installed green energy capacity has reached 2,024 MW, making it the first cement company in India to commission over 2 gigawatts (GW) of green energy capacity for captive use.
UltraTech's current green energy capacity of 2,024 MW comprises 1,580 MW of renewable energy capacity and 444 MW of WHRS capacity. Together, these meet about 48% of the company's current power requirements. The milestone reflects the cumulative impact of UltraTech's multipronged energy transition strategy. In FY27 so far, nearly a third of UltraTech's 76 manufacturing units in India have maintained green energy utilisation above 50% of their electricity requirement. Five of these units have exceeded 95%.
