Transrail Lighting jumps on getting nod to raise up to Rs 600 crore through QIP

Transrail Lighting is currently trading at Rs. 501.50, up by 10.95 points or 2.23% from its previous closing of Rs. 490.55 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 491.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 501.00 and Rs. 487.75 respectively. So far 14507 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 2 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 855.40 on 13-Aug-2025 and a 52 week low of Rs. 450.00 on 27-Jan-2026.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 501.60 and Rs. 480.40 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 6,732.94 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 71.12%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 9.01% and 19.88% respectively.

Transrail Lighting has secured approval to raise up to Rs 600 crore through issuance of equity shares having a face value of Rs 2 each and/or other eligible securities by way of Qualified Institutions Placement (QIP). The board of directors of the company at its meeting held on July 28 2026 has approved the same. 

Additionally, the company board has approved a further investment of 15.30 million United Arab Emirates Dirham (around Rs 40.25 crore) in the company's wholly owned subsidiary incorporated in the UAE -- Transrail Trading LLC. The investment will be made by subscribing to 15,300 equity shares of 1,000 United Arab Emirates Dirham each of Transrail Trading.

The investment is proposed to support the company's Middle East operations, including raising finance, procurement of materials and services for project execution, meeting working capital requirements and other general corporate purposes.
