Sportking India soars on getting nod for greenfield expansion project to increase Spinning capacity

Sportking India is currently trading at Rs. 114.80, up by 4.00 points or 3.61% from its previous closing of Rs. 110.80 on the BSE.
The scrip opened at Rs. 112.95 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 115.00 and Rs. 111.65 respectively. So far 24964 shares were traded on the counter.
The BSE group 'B' stock of face value Rs. 1 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 159.75 on 13-Sep-2024 and a 52 week low of Rs. 69.97 on 04-Mar-2025.
Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 129.80 and Rs. 110.55 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 1447.99 crore.
The promoters holding in the company stood at 74.36%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 0.07% and 25.57% respectively.
Sportking India has received approval for a Greenfield Expansion Project to increase the Spinning capacity of the company. The said project is proposed to be set up in the State of Odisha. In the first phases of the expansion, the company is planning install 1,50,000 spindles with an estimated capital outlay of Rs 1,000 crore.
The project will be funded through a blend of term loans and internal accruals. This strategic investment will enhance the company's manufacturing capabilities and strengthen its position in the textile industry. The company will make further disclosures, as may be required, in accordance with applicable regulations. The Board of Directors of the company, at its meeting held on August 2, 2025, has considered and approved the same.
