Shakti Pumps (India) Limited on Friday reported a sharp 46.7 per cent decline in its consolidated net profit for the April-June quarter (Q1 FY27), as lower operating margins weighed on earnings despite robust growth in revenue.

Revenue from operations, however, rose 37.9 per cent year-on-year to Rs 859 crore from Rs 623 crore, it added in its filing.

The company's operating performance weakened significantly, with EBITDA falling 42.3 per cent to Rs 82.9 crore from Rs 144 crore in the year-ago period.

Its EBITDA margin contracted sharply by 1,340 basis points to 9.7 per cent from 23.1 per cent a year earlier, indicating pressure on profitability despite higher sales.
