USDINR

Observations

USDINR trading range for the day is 96.82-97.3.

Rupee weakened pressured by a jump in oil prices and weakness in Asian peers.

The Reserve Bank of India has updated its growth forecast for fiscal year 2026-27 to 7.1%.

India Services Business Activity Index rose to 55.2 in September from 54.1 in August, although it remained below the 60.9 recorded in September 2025.

 

EURINR

Observations

EURINR trading range for the day is 108.45-108.99.

Euro dropped amid elevated energy prices, rising inflation and interest rate expectations, and fiscal concerns, particularly in France.

Markets now price roughly 75 basis points of ECB and 85 basis points of Fed tightening by the end of next year, as oil prices rebounded.

Political uncertainty is rising elsewhere, with Spain calling a snap election for November 29 and Italy heading to the polls next year.

GBP dropped as a rebound in oil prices heightened inflation concerns and reinforced expectations for higher-for-longer interest rates, weighing on UK growth prospects.

The RICS UK Residential Market Survey showed that the house price balance deteriorated to -32% in September 2026 from -28% in August.

Britain's labour market showed more signs of recovering last month from its protracted slowdown, with permanent staff placements rising.
