USDINR trading range for the day is 88.62-89.1.

Rupee closed near its all-time low as lingering foreign portfolio outflows and corporate dollar demand kept up pressure.

India's foreign exchange reserves fell to $702.57 billion as of Sept 19, compared with $702.97 billion a week earlier

Foreign investors have net sold nearly $2 billion of local stocks so far this month, pushing up year-to-date outflows to nearly $17 billion.

British consumer borrowing rose at the fastest annual pace since October 2024 in August, Bank of England data showed.

Net borrowing of mortgage debt by individuals in the UK decreased by £0.2 billion to £4.3 billion in August 2025, the lowest in three months.

JPY gains as the greenback retreated on concerns over a possible US government shutdown.

Minutes from the BOJ’s July meeting indicated policymakers remain open to further rate hikes if growth and inflation progress as expected.

In Japan, a busy slate of releases is due, including the business sentiment survey, consumer confidence, industrial production, retail sales.
