Sarda Energy jumps on awarding contract to Gensol Engineering

Sarda Energy & Minerals is currently trading at Rs. 252.30, up by 4.60 points or 1.86% from its previous closing of Rs. 247.70 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 254.55 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 262.00 and Rs. 248.05 respectively. So far 136453 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'B' stock of face value Rs. 1 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 264.95 on 15-Dec-2023 and a 52 week low of Rs. 96.70 on 28-Mar-2023.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 263.15 and Rs. 243.15 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 8862.39 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 72.64%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 6.61% and 20.74% respectively.

Sarda Energy & Minerals has awarded a contract to Gensol Engineering for installation of solar power plant of 50 MW DC in Chhattisgarh for meeting the captive requirements of the company’s production and mining facilities, for the total consideration of around Rs 150 crore.  

Sarda Energy & Minerals (SEML) is one of the lowest cost producers of steel (sponge iron, billets, ingots, TMT bars) and one of the largest manufacturers and exporters of ferro alloys in India.
